Terms of service

These terms cover your use of the Toyverse online store. By browsing the site or placing an order you accept them. "We", "us" and "Toyverse" mean Toyverse, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

1. Who can order

You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to place an order. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your sign-in secure.

2. Products, prices and availability

All prices are shown in the currency selected at checkout and include applicable taxes only where stated. We try to describe and photograph every toy accurately, but colours and packaging can vary slightly between production runs.

We may change prices, add products or stop selling a product at any time. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price, or is out of stock after you order, we will contact you and either cancel and refund the order in full or offer an alternative. Nothing here obliges us to fulfil an order accepted in error.

3. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A confirmation email means we received it, not that we accepted it. The contract is formed when we dispatch the goods. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example where we suspect fraud, where an address cannot be delivered to, or where stock is unavailable. Any payment taken is refunded in full in that case.

4. Age guidance and safety

Age recommendations shown on product pages are guidance from the manufacturer, not a guarantee of suitability for a particular child. Many toys contain small parts and are not suitable for children under 3. Adult supervision is recommended. Please keep packaging away from young children.

5. Shipping, returns and refunds

Delivery is covered by our shipping policy, and returns and refunds by our return and refund policy. Both form part of these terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site to break any law, to scrape or copy the site for a competing service, to upload anything harmful, or to interfere with how the site works for other people.

7. Intellectual property

The Toyverse name, logo, site design and original copy belong to us. Product photography may belong to our suppliers. You may not reuse any of it commercially without written permission.

8. Third parties

The store runs on Shopify, and payments are processed by Shopify Payments and the other providers shown at checkout. Their own terms and privacy practices apply to the parts they handle. See our privacy policy for how we treat your data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law, including the Alberta Consumer Protection Act.
